YOUTH RODEO
Youth Rodeo and our Champions
All of our children (except our daughter Lydia) have competed in the Central PA Youth Rodeo Association, C.P.Y.R.A.
We feel very fortunate that all our kids have chosen and enjoy the same sport "Rodeo". We have lots of quality family time together during our practice session and as we travel to the events.
Our rodeos are often held on weekends so we usually pack up and go Friday nights and have a fun filled family weekend camping trip on top of a rodeo competition each day. Our children have made many friends in the association and we always have a wonderful and fun time after the competition is over, to sit around the camp fire, playing games or just sharing good stories.
Our All-Around Champions for 2005 : Tyler Weber age 12, sixth time All-Around Champion, Emily age 11, two time All-Around Champion and Layne age 7 his first All-Around Champion title.Jacqualyn age 9 was crowned C.Y.P.R.A. Rodeo Princess for 2006.
Tyler competed in Barrel Racing, Goat Tying, Break-away roping, Calf Roping and Team-roping (heeling) .Since he started rodeo at the age of 5, he earned Reserve All-Around Champion in 1999 and All-Around Champion Titles 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2005.He also received for the 2005 Season the fast time award in break-away roping with the time of 2.43. Tyler was the event winner 2005 in Barrel Racing, Breakaway Roping, Team Roping Heeling, and Calf Roping.
Emily earned Reserve All-Around Champion in 2001, and All-Around Champion title in 2002 and 2005. She was the event winner in 2005 in Pole Bending, Barrel Racing, and Goat Tying and received the Fast Time Award in the 2005 Season in Break-Away with a time of 4.05 Sec..and Fast Time Award in Goat Tying with a time of 14.16 Sec. and the Fast Time Award in Pole Bending with a time of 20.59.
In the 2006 Season she competes in Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Goat Tying, Break-Away and Team Roping Heeling.
In October, Emily competed at the All American Quarter Congress in Columbus OH with her horse Zans Lucky Vandal. It was a incredible experience for her and for us. She placed 5th in the 14-18 age group.
Jacqualyn earned Reserve All-Around champion in 2002, and 2003 and was crowned C.P.Y.R.A. Princess 2006. In the 2006 Season she competes in Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Goat Tying, Dummy Roping and Break-Away Roping.
Layne earned Reserve All-Around Champion Title 2004 and All-Around Champion 2005. He was the event winner in Pole Bending and Barrel Racing and received theFast Time Award. He was the event winner 2005 in Pole Bending, Barrel Racing, and Dummy Roping.
In the 2006 Season he competes in Pole Bending, Barrel Racing, Goat Tying and Dummy Roping.
Madelyn started her Rodeo Career at age 4.
She is in the 5-6 girls age group
and competes in Pole Bending,
Barrel Racing, Goat Tying,
and Dummy Roping.
